Kuchu no Hako. Panel discusion.

On the occasion of the International World Heritage Day, Friends of Medina Azahara has organized a Panel discusion on ceramics, heritage, architecture and contemporary art at the Museum of Madinat al-Zahra.

Speakers: Co-directors of Kuchu no Hako.

Pedro Caro, Architect at the Town Planning Department of the local council of Cordoba. Director of the Municipal Office for the Historic Centre of Cordoba (2005-2011).
José Escudero, Director of the Archaeological Ensemble of Madinat Al-Zahra. Museum curator, his research work includes the study of the Caliphate-period ceramics and the ceramic collection of Madinat Al-Zahra.

Hisae Yanase, Ceramist, painter and sculptor, born in Japan and based in Cordoba, where she served as professor of ceramics at the School of Art “Mateo Inurria” and “Dionisio Ortiz” from 1976 to 2011. She has held more than forty solo exhibitions in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Busan, Amsterdam, Madrid, Salamanca, Valencia, Zaragoza, Lugo, Seville, Granada, Malaga and Cordoba. She has curated exhibitions of international contemporary ceramics and holds courses and lectures on Contemporary Ceramics.

Juan Bolaños, Business Management (ETEA, Córdoba) and Marketing (University of Manchester, UK). He shows special interest in developing meeting places between the creative class and the business world..
